Subject Quaid-e-Azam

Summry
The Quaid-e-Azam was hardworking man. He never waits his time. He had no time for food, rest and sleep or care. During last days of his life those habits created much danger for him and easily became victim of TB.
Quaid-e-Azam was a logical and reasonable minded. He always preferred an accurate and direct approach to each and every matter. He had no time for a woolly minded person. His decision was always based on facts and power of judgment. He had strong will and to make him change his decision was impossible. He listened the others opinion as far as possible, where he did not agree he gave logical examples and won over even obstinate. In fact, he would never bent even slightly and never compromised his viewpoint.
He wanted discipline in every walk of life. He had magnetic personality. In the meeting people become silent when they saw him. He believed that no nation or country could exist without unity and discipline.
He trusted the person and did not suspect but he found least doubt he removed him from the list. He was generous in his interpretation of others. He had balance temperament neither so cold nor hot to anyone. He was a man of few words and possessed the gift of immediate understanding the legal problems. He was a best lawyer and strewed businessman. He was no master of language but he could explain himself in English.
Like anybody else he too had limitation and never hesitated to admit his inability. Similarly he was a serious person with no time for frivolous activities, though he had a good sense of humor.
Comprehension
Quaid-e-Azam, as I stated earlier, possessed a strong will. (Page 113 Line 12)________ We and our children live as free people without fear of domination or persecution. (Page 114 Line 27)

Q1:- How did the Qaid-e-Azam behave towards these who held a view different from his?
Ans:- Qaid-e-Azam tried to listen the opinion of other as for as possible when he found that the opinion did not fit to his thinking, he would give arguments over it and won over them but never compromised on principal.

Q2:- What was more important for Qaid-e-Azam the unity or principal?
Ans:- He tried to maintain unity as long as possible, when he saw that there are clashed with unity then he would follow principal. Unity was very valuable but he never loses principal.

Q3:- What is the origin and meaning of Herculean task?
Ans:- Hercules was a Greek hero. He was a powerful man. The Qaid-e-Azam was also like a Hercules and to change his opinion was very difficult.

Q4:- Which quality did Qaid-e-Azam regard as most important for achieving success in life?
Ans:- Qaid-e-Azam believed that unity and discipline are very important for success, without unity and discipline no country can even survive, much less prospers.

Q5:- What did the Qaid-e-Azam mean when he said, “Vote for a lamp-post if called upon by your party to do so”.
Ans:- Qaid-e-Azam wanted from his people that when they are required by the party to vote and people know that their candidate cannot successed, they should keep discipline to at that time. This was the thing that on principal the Muslim-Leag won his freedom for the country.

Q6:- What has the writer to say on the Qaid-e-Azam’s charismatic personality?
Ans:- Qaid-e-Azam had magnetic personality. People loved him. In the meeting when people were making noise and they were to be quite but they did not. When Qaid-e-Azam asked sit down and listen there was a complete silent to observe a pin drop silence. It was observed complete discipline.
